DIY: Indoor Den

This may seem like a bit of an odd DIY to include on our blog, but it was something I did a few weekends ago and thought it was a bit of fun and that I should share it with you all. We all like to save a bit of money, so making this little den is a great cheap date night idea as you can make it together. We had so much fun making it and it was super comfy! I am lucky to have a big bedroom at uni and this little beauty stayed up for a about a week! We were too proud of it to take it down :)

What you will need:
A Mattress, or lots of cushions.
Four bed sheets or large blankets.
 Lots of pegs
String
 Nails and a hammer
Fairy Lights

Step 1: You need to put 4 nails in the wall (one on each of the 4 walls, so two are facing each other) just below your ceiling so when the string is attached it will form a cross shape.
Step 2: Measure how much string you will need. You will need two long pieces. You need the string to not be too tight, so let it slack a little. Tie it to your nails. This will form a cross shape and the crossover should be in the centre of the room.
Step 3: Put your mattress under your string.
Step 4: Drape your blankets over the string and secure with pegs. Tuck your sheets under the mattress if you have a bit of excess material.
Step 5: Decorate with fairy lights if you have some and fill with cushions and duvets.

And your done! Hope you enjoyed our creative date night idea :) What do you think?
